Children's Book of the Year Award
Original in Esperanto
My book "Vivo" ("Life", in Esperanto) won the Children's Book of the Year award in the Literary Competition of the Universal Esperanto Association today.
I would like to thank UEA, the organizers of the Literary Competition, and the judges.
I would also like to thank Monica Mora and her team at Perezoso Editores, who first published the book in the original Spanish in 2022, and Margarita Cubino, who illustrated it with her beautiful art. I would also like to thank them for allowing me to translate and republish it in Esperanto and other languages.
I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Norberto Diaz Guevara, who translated the story into Esperanto, and to Jorge Rafael Nogueras, Erin Piateski, and István Ertl, who revised the translation.
Finally, I would like to thank my wife Mónica, for her love, patience, and support for my quixotic ideas. I dedicate the award to her and to my father, Tito, now deceased, who also always supported me.
